In her words: By engaging in home visits, community outreach, and patient-centred care, I am learning how to address the unique health care needs of this population, which is often overlooked in Uganda. This experience is rooted in key global health principles, including the Sustainable Development Goals and the social determinants of health. It has given me a deeper appreciation for the complex, interrelated factors that shape health outcomes in resource-limited settings. Through this work, I am exploring how culturally appropriate, community-based solutions can improve health equity and long-term well-being.

Looking ahead, I hope to apply these insights to a future career in global health, with a focus on developing sustainable, locally informed strategies to address health care disparities around the world.
